I always have told my clients first thing when I am referring them to Brian Murphy and A-Action Home Inspection Group that we are not related, because we do share the same last name. The recommendation is because of the quality of service and the good job they do.
I have been recommending A-Action Home Inspection exclusively for over two years. My clients and I have always been very pleased with the quality of service the inspectors provide. I could go on and on about the service, the detailed reports, explanations to the clients, answering clients questions, their professionalism and etc. I think because I do use them exclusively with my buyer's that I forgot just how good they really are. Recently with one of my listings, I was quickly reminded of how much I appreciate them and why I use the A-Action team only.
This home inspector (I will not name) was not having a good day. My listing is occupied and several things were left undone, changed, and even damaged. My seller was very concerned about the damaged items and so was I. I notified the buyer's agent and the inspector of all the items noted by my seller. The inspector took blame and apologized for all the minor undone and changed items but was absolutely positive he did not do the damage. I pulled the CSS reports and the Supra Key reports to make sure no one else had entered the home. In comparing these reports it was pretty clear as to how this might have occurred. He ran over an hour late for the appointment and was rushed. He might be a great inspector on another day, but this was clearly not his best day. He was not willing to help in the repair or replacement of the damaged items. I then got back in touch with the buyer's agent and asked if she had disclosed this to the buyer's yet? She quickly called them and disclosed the damage. She did not explain or offer how it happen, just that the seller wanted it disclosed. The buyer stated right off, "I bet my inspector did that". We are not perfect; we can and do make mistakes. How we handle these mistakes is what sets us apart and speaks volumes of our character. We are all licensed professionals and perfection is expected from the public. It is our duty and obligation to take care of our clients, protect their homes, their property and represent them to the best of our ability.
